Founder
I’m Dawie, and woodworking has been my passion for as long as I can remember. What started as a hobby in a small workshop has grown into DB Studio, where I now combine traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques to create kitchens, furniture and cabinetry that not only serves a purpose but also tells a story.
Madie
3D Designer
My journey began in the kitchen as a chef, where I learned to balance creativity with practicality. That experience sparked my passion for interior design, and I now have a diploma in the field. I love creating spaces that are not only beautiful but also work seamlessly in everyday life.

Sales & Marketing
I’ve always loved building, first dreaming of construction, then discovering a passion for filmmaking. Both are about creating something meaningful. That same creativity now drives my role in Sales & Marketing at DB Studio, where I enjoy sharing our story and connecting with clients in a purposeful way.

I'm originally from Zimbabwe. Although I did more work in steel fabrication, woodworking has always been my passion. My love for people led me to work in Tanzania as a missionary where I could get my hands on beautiful local hardwoods, and I began building and experimenting with acoustic guitars, using a variety of local hardwoods. It's a craft that blends, creativity, precision and beauty. The same passion goes into my work at DB Studio every day.

Team Leader
I started my career in the fabrication and manufacturing sector as a fitter and turner, then went on to complete further studies in industrial design with a strong focus on user-centred design. That foundation still guides my work today. As a Team Leader at DB Studio, I combine innovation, problem-solving, and quality woodworking to create thoughtful, custom joinery. I’m passionate about making spaces more beautiful and functional, and I bring that commitment into every project I lead.
